Limited Hatchetman Leg / Jump-Jets Re-do Done
Submitted by Mike Noe on Thu, 06/18/2009 - 4:53pm.The fix-ups to the limited edition Hatchetman are done and we're molding it tonight. The re-do looks great, matches the sketch from CGL, and hopefully will address the concerns that were voiced by some players over the original sculpt.
We'll be casting and packing up until we leave for Columbus, and hope to have plenty for the show.
Right now the plan is to limit sales to one or two per customer for the 1st couple of days, and see how we're doing. If we have stock we may lift the limit as the show progresses. We just want to make sure that we have stock left for the weekend crowd.
The new legs / feet pics are attached - enjoy...
Leg Redo to Limited Hatchetman Sculpt
Submitted by Mike Noe on Tue, 06/16/2009 - 2:50pm.Shortly after posting picks of the new Limited Hatchetman I heard that there was some concern being voiced online among some of the players about the location of the lower-leg jump jets. We always try to be accurate as possible so, with that in mind I went to the source...
After e-mailing w/ Randall Bills I recieved the following e-mail from Brent Evans, who is not only CGL's new art director, but also the aritist that generated the illustration of a jumping Hatchetman that we based the jet positioning on. This is what he recomended... "Wow I like seeing the mini’s come to life. Yes I think you should widen the plume but only to match the corrected foot/leg (edits image attached.) I don’t think we should bring the plume up the leg at all."
We are now making the changes recomended by Mr. Evans, and will have new pics shortly...

The Hatchetman is in mid-jump, reaching its left hand to grab its intended victim while slashing down with its right arm hatchet. Retailing for $20.00 and strictly limited to no more than 600 copies, this fantastic sculpt will debut in limited quantities at Origins 09 and will only be available through the fall at conventions that IWM attends... Be sure and grab one (or several) while they last, and let the chopping begin!!!

Iron Wind Metals Babylon 5 License expires on July 1st, 2009
Submitted by Mike Noe on Fri, 05/08/2009 - 5:17pm.Iron Wind Metals Babylon 5 License expires on July 1st, 2009
As many fans have probably heard, Mongoose Games license to produce Babylon 5 products expires on June 30th and will not be renewed.
Since IWM’s Babylon 5 miniatures license is through Mongoose, this means that our license expires on June 30th as well...
We considered looking into a license of our own but, for a variety of reasons that will not be feasible.
Therefore, at end of business on Tuesday, June 30th, Iron Wind Metals will have to cease production of Babylon 5 miniatures, both A Call to Arms and Fleet scale.
Per the terms of our agreement, we will honor all orders placed before July 1st in full.
After July 1st, we can continue to take orders until we deplete our remaining stock, or until the end of the year, whichever comes first.
This means that after July 1st, the quantities on the web-site will be reduced to what we have remaining in stock on all items. When that remaining stock is exhausted on any item, the website will read the zero and will drop the item from inventory.
Anything remaining at the end of the year will be removed from the site and melted.
Remaining inventories after July 1st will vary from item to item, and will be further depleted by convention sales. Therefore, if you want to get Babylon 5 miniatures from us, get them while they are here.
